“What could possibly go wrong in this new machine age?”

- Prof. Andrew McAfee, MIT, and author of The Second Machine Age

At The Forum, Prime Ministers, Ministers and Mayors from around the world will gather alongside the CEOs, CTOs and more of the world’s leading companies to discuss how technology is reshaping our world.
The Forum is an invite-only gathering of the 500 top decision makers at Web Summit, drawn from our more than 50,000 attendees.

More about The Forum

The world is in increasingly unchartered territory, and not just because of technology. There’s an unprecedented refugee crisis, Brexit, political uncertainty in the United States, a sluggish global economy, growing numbers of terrorist attacks in Europe, a backlash against globalisation and so much more.

With this in mind, for the first time at Web Summit, we’ve gathered together the President of the UN General Assembly, the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, forward-thinking Prime Ministers, Ministers and Mayors from around the world, as well as many of the European Union’s leading regulators and decision makers. They’re interested in meeting those at the forefront of technology.

The Forum has reached capacity. We first started with an ambition to find 25 political and business leaders from around the world for a small gathering hosted by the Prime Minister of Portugal on the afternoon of November 7. We now have 500 global leaders, led by António Costa, joining us over three days at Web Summit.
