Check out our step-by-step guide to media content at Web Summit this November to maximise your experience at the event.

With the addition of new talks, Q&A sessions and masterclasses every day, it can be difficult to plan a comprehensive event schedule.

To help you, we have curated a media journey to guide you through the event and ensure you get the most out of your experience.

Stop ①: Web Summit mobile app

Before you begin, download the Web Summit mobile app. It’s your ticket, networking tool and schedule planner all in one place.

Stop ②: The curated media track

This is all of our media-related content, including talks, Q&As and roundtables, jam-packed into one view. A great starting point for a thorough browse before planning your day.

Stop ③: Our stages

Do you want to learn more about media and journalism? Swing by our dedicated journalism track Fourth Estate. Speakers such as Sky News executive editor Jonathan Levy will share insights on the future of journalism and navigating user engagement.

Future Societies is a great stop if you’re searching for discussions from world leaders, tech innovators, policymakers and activists.

Be sure to check out the session between Deutsche Welle editor-in-chief Manuela Kasper-Claridge, Thomson Reuters Foundation editor-in-chief Yasir Khan and Oversight Board member Alan Rusbridger as they discuss democracy in the digital age.

Interested in learning about all things regulation? Policy Makers has you covered. From tech regulations to public policy, you won’t want to miss out on our dedicated politics stage.

Stop ④: Food Summit

By now, you’ve probably worked up an appetite. With several market-style food courts hosting a large variety of food and beverage stands, you can enjoy a taste of Portugal’s culinary scene.

Stop ⑤: Book Summit

After eating, why not take a break? Deep dive into the world of books at Book Summit, where authors, academics, critics, publishing houses and avid readers and writers gather to discuss all things literary.

Stop ⑥: Q&A

Come to the Q&A stage for some audience interaction. Where else would you get the chance to pick the brains of media experts, journalists, cultural icons and executives?

Stop ⑦: Wine Summit

Looking to network with your fellow attendees while enjoying traditional Portuguese wines? We’ve got you covered. Discover the tastes of Portugal at Wine Summit.

Stop ⑧: Night Summit 🤖 🍸 🧑

Time to wind down, grab a drink and mingle with fellow attendees at our series of after-hours events across the beautiful city of Lisbon.

Start with our meet and greet at Hub Criativo do Beato on Monday, November 13.

Then, network – and dance – at Pátio da Galé and Praça do Comércio on Tuesday, November 14.

And finally, wrap things up with our Night Summit party at Pavilhão Carlos Lopes on Wednesday, November 15. Saúde!
