We’ve dug into some of the data behind Web Summit 2022, where record numbers of attendees enjoyed our Lisbon showcase.

Attendees, tech enthusiasts and business entrepreneurs alike come from all over the world to see what happens at an event “redefining the global tech industry”. This year, more than 71,000 attendees joined us in Lisbon’s Altice Arena for talks, masterclasses, networking sessions, tech demos and more.

There’s a reason that Inc. calls Web Summit “an exciting event with a global reach”. People from 160 countries journeyed from all over the world to get together in Lisbon, connecting and networking with our diverse attendees, and learning from our wealth of tech-based content.

We are dedicated to changing the gender balance in the tech world, starting with our events. We believe in supporting the development of an ecosystem that has more women entrepreneurs innovating and leading industries. We are delighted to say Web Summit 2022 is welcoming more than 30,000 women – 42 percent of our total number of attendees.

We assemble a mix of world leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, tech developers, sports stars, musicians and actors who are impacting their fields and have unique insights to share. Olena Zelenska, Noam Chomsky, Cristina Ferreira, Toto Wolff and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan are just a few of the speakers taking part in Web Summit 2022.

We deliver talks spanning 26 content tracks and 17 stages, covering every topic from AI and climate change to marketing and telecommunications. Entrepreneur called Web Summit “one of the most highly regarded gathering places for startups, corporations and investors”. More than 1,000 VCs, angel investors and major funds are at Web Summit 2022. Among them are Initialized Capital founder and partner Garry Tan, Conviction founder Sarah Guo and Y Combinator’s Geoff Ralston.
