Are AI actors a threat to human performance, or the arrival of a new art form? AI actress Tilly Norwood and her creator Eline van der Velden present a bold vision for the future of film and TV. In this session we ask how synthetic performers can sit harmoniously alongside traditional entertainment as a separate, thriving industry built for the next generation of digital-native audiences.

How AI actors are creating entertainment's next frontier

Behind viral social clips of applicants using AI to cheat virtual interviews lies a threat to corporate security: synthetic candidates infiltrating core enterprise systems. As generative video, real-time voice cloning and AI-inflated profiles proliferate, traditional candidate verification is failing. In this session we examine the mechanics of the fake candidate epidemic. In this session we explore how to shut down synthetic fraud before it reaches the payroll.

Most conversations about AI independence focus on the model: who trains it, who owns the weights, where inference runs. Samar Abbas, co-founder and CEO of Temporal, will argue that's the wrong place to look. The layer that matters is underneath: the execution infrastructure that decides whether a company can actually change course later. Frameworks and agent harnesses are cycling through versions faster than almost anything else in tech. Whatever framework looks essential this year will likely be replaced next year. Samar's argument: building capable AI agents means building on an open foundation that outlasts the model, framework, or harness sitting on top of it, and that no single vendor can take away. Drawing on Temporal's work running durable execution under some of today's most demanding AI workloads, he'll make the case that the real question isn't which model you pick, but whether your infrastructure survives whatever comes next.

Bet on the foundation, not the framework

The race to commercialise fusion is a high-stakes contest between three distinct technologies: Commonwealth Fusion Systems' tokamak, Thea Energy's stellarator, and Zap Energy's Z-pinch. Each offers unique scientific advantages, engineering risks, and economic realities. With billions invested and global energy security on the line, which approach will cross the finish line first, and which could be left behind?

Fusion's fork in the road

What happens when AI moves beyond digital interfaces to interact with the physical and chemical world? From digitising scent and mapping molecular behaviour to creating sustainable food systems, AI is turning raw data into real-world sensory intelligence. This session demonstrates how AI-driven science is opening up multibillion-dollar opportunities across health, consumer products and global food infrastructure.

Sensing the future: Using AI to unlock the next generation of molecular science.
