The excitement for Web Summit is palpable. Before you join tech experts from all over the world in Lisbon for three days of talks, networking and lead generation opportunities, take the time to run through these eight essential tips to maximise your experience at what Euronews calls “one of the most important annual tech events”.
Where can I find my ticket?
You will find your ticket in the ‘My ticket’ section of the Web Summit mobile app. Just tap on your profile picture in the top left corner of the app screen, then tap on ‘My ticket’.
You can also access your ticket in your personal Web Summit ticket dashboard, or via your confirmation email, which you should have received shortly after purchasing your ticket.
How do I build my event profile?
Web Summit’s mobile app is key to unlocking even more of what Tech.eu calls “the most important annual tech event”. You can now download the app for iOS and Android. On your first login, Web Summit will ask for basic personal information such as:
We will also ask what topics you’re interested in and the areas of expertise you can share.
Finally, you will be asked to upload a profile picture in order to personalise your interactions with attendees.
Where can I find the Web Summit schedule?
The Web Summit schedule is available on the website and in the Schedule tab on the mobile app. The schedule features 250-plus hours of talks, roundtable discussions and masterclasses delivered by tech experts, celebrity speakers and political leaders from all over the world.
How can I build a personal event schedule?
You can build a personal event schedule for each day of Web Summit. Search for talks and masterclasses that catch your eye in the Schedule tab at the bottom of the mobile app. When you find a talk that interests you, tap the calendar icon to add the session to your own personal schedule.
You can also arrange meetings with other attendees or companies by finding their event profile, tapping ‘Request a meeting’, and adding a meeting name, time and location, as well as details describing what the meeting is about.
You can access your full schedule of talks and meetings by tapping Schedule at the bottom of the mobile app screen, then tapping ‘My schedule’.
When and where should I register?
You can register for Web Summit 2022 at either Lisbon Airport or at the venue.
If you choose to register at Lisbon Airport, make your way to Terminal 1 then follow signs for Web Summit registration. You can register there between Saturday October 29 to Wednesday November 2.
If you want to register at the event, go to Pavilhão de Portugal on Alameda dos Oceanos, Parque das Nações. Venue registration is open from Monday October 31 to Friday November 4.
To register, you’ll need your ticket and photo ID to confirm your identity. You will then receive a lanyard and wristband that will give you access to Web Summit. Please wear your lanyard and wristband each day of the event and for Night Summit events.

How do I get to the Web Summit venue?
There are many ways to get to Web Summit, thanks to the brilliant public and private transport links in our host city, Lisbon./
What will I need to enter the event?
If you haven’t yet registered, you’ll need to register at Pavilhão de Portugal on Alameda dos Oceanos, Parque das Nações. Please bring your ticket (on the Web Summit mobile app) and photo ID.
Once you have registered, all you need to access the Web Summit venue is your official accreditation – the Web Summit lanyard and wristband.
Are there any specific rules I need to follow when inside the venue?
When registering, you will get a lanyard and wristband that will give you access to Web Summit. You must clearly display your lanyard and wristband each day of the event, and for all after-hours Night Summit events.
Small bags will be permitted inside the event venue. There will be free cloakrooms and bag drops at Web Summit should you need to store larger items.
Within current government guidelines, vaccine certificates and masks will not be required to enter Web Summit, and social distancing will not be enforced.
