Orchestrating complex AI workflows, maintaining human-in-the-loop oversight and scaling operations without exponentially growing headcount is the defining challenge of the AI era. This keynote explores how to scale using autonomous AI agents as a primary workforce, offering concrete rules to help build and grow a lean, highly profitable AI-native enterprise.

Becoming AI-native: Treat your company like a product

The competition for high-skilled tech talent has gone global, testing the limits of Europe's borderless tech hubs. While emerging deep tech hubs need access to specialised skills, remote work across member states creates complex legal, tax and social security challenges for workers and municipal leaders alike. This session examines how to address intra-EU talent loss, streamline cross-border remote labour and maintain Europe’s high labour standards while remaining competitive globally.

Portugal's economy has, despite unfavourable international headwinds, maintained strong growth. GDP per capita has increased for at least four straight years, unemployment is at an over ten-year low, and government debt continues to fall. We will hear from the Minister of Finance in charge of many of the reforms that have spurred this positive performance about how Portugal has gone from strength to strength.

The Portuguese economic success story

As AI and algorithms increasingly shape how people navigate the world, genuine human connection has never been more sought after or more valuable. Reddit COO Jen Wong explores why the next era of the internet will depend not on more information, but on trusted context, personal opinion and firsthand experience, considering how authentic human dialogue can strengthen AI, search & discovery while keeping people at the centre of an increasingly automated internet.

Maintaining the human in an AI world

The EU is preparing for its biggest potential expansion in decades, as Ukraine, the Western Balkans and other candidate countries seek membership. Enlargement could strengthen Europe’s geopolitical influence and bring greater stability to its neighbourhood. Yet it could also make decision-making, funding and political cohesion much harder. This talk asks whether bigger really does mean better, and can unity and effectiveness be maintained in an increasingly uncertain world?
